REGULATIONS

Holiday days
A flexiworker accrues provisions for holiday days per hour worked. The holiday hour balance depends on the number of hours the flexiworker works. Holiday hours can be taken at any time with the consent of the client.

Holiday allowance
A flexiworker accrues provisions for holiday pay for every hour worked. Holiday pay is equal to 8% of the gross annual salary and is paid in May, each year. If a flexiworker’s employment contract ends before the end of May in a particular year, the holiday pay will be paid about six weeks after the date on which the employment contract ends. The client is not invoiced separately for the payment of this provision because it has already been factored into the rate.

Public holidays
If a national holiday falls on a regular working day and the university is closed, a flexiworker will receive compensation. The number of hours for which a flexiworker is paid is calculated based on the average number of hours the flexiworker has worked on the day in question in the past 13 weeks. Hours do not need to be approved for public holidays.

Pension
A flexiworker accrues pension with a.s.r. For a brief overview of the pension scheme, see the brochure. It provides more information about what a flexiworker will and will not get from EURflex B.V..

Sickness and recovery procedure
In the event of sickness, a flexiworker must report sick by telephone to both EURflex (010-4082533) and the client before 9 a.m., stating the address they are recovering at and the telephone number they can be contacted on. EURflex is also responsible for lawful implementation of the Eligibility for Permanent Incapacity Benefit (Restrictions) Act (Wet verbetering poortwachter).

The sick payment a flexiworker receives is based on the average number of hours, which is calculated based on the 13-week period preceding the first day of illness, per day of sickness. The client is not invoiced separately for the payment of this sickness benefit because the reserve has already been discounted into the rate.

Year-end bonus
Flexiworkers working for EUR, iMTA or HIS accrue a provision for the year-end bonus based on each hour worked. This bonus will be equal to 8.3% of your gross annual salary.

Flexiworkers working for EUR Holding (excluding iMTA or IHS) and EE Holding are not eligible for the year-end bonus.

The year-end bonus is always paid in November each year. If their employment contract ends earlier, the year-end bonus will be paid to them about six weeks after the date on which their contract ends, together with the provisions for holiday hours, holiday pay.

The client is not invoiced separately for the payment of provisions because it has already been factored into the rate.

Transistion fee
The Balanced Labour Market Act (Wet Arbeidsmarkt in Balans, or WAB) came into effect on 1 January 2020. Its implementation means that flexiworkers will be entitled to a transition fee if their employment is terminated by the employer or automatically concluded from 1 January 2020 onwards. The transition fee is calculated from the start of their employment by EURflex.

If the flexiworker reaches the state pension age or the employment contract is terminated at the request of the flexiworker, the right to the transition fee will lapse. The same applies to flexiworkers who are under the age of 18 at the time of dismissal; they will not be entitled to the allowance.

The client is not invoiced separately for the payment of the transition fee because it has already been factored into the rate.
